Orin Paliwoda specializes in computer, intellectual
property, business and technology-related law. His extensive experience includes business entity
formation; copyright protection; compliance; trademark protection and
management; trade secret; licensing; e-commerce; domain name dispute resolution;
due diligence; as well as guidance on IT matters such as privacy and cybersecurity.
Prior to founding Paliwoda
PLLC, Orin served as Intellectual Property Counsel for a diverse suite of
companies held by a private equity firm.
Orin is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and has law degrees from the Benjamin N. Cardozo
School of Law, where he specialized in Intellectual Property, and Thomas M.
Cooley Law School. During his
studies Orin was an Editor on Law Review, received the Eugene Krasicky Award, and was a member of various legal
societies including Phi Delta Phi.
In addition, he served within the chambers of Hon. Avern Cohn in the United States District Court for the
Eastern District of Michigan.
Orin is licensed to practice law
in New York, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Michigan, the United States Supreme Court and various
Federal Appellate and District Courts.
He is a member of the
American Intellectual Property Law Association, International Intellectual Property Society, New York City Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and Scribes.
